Abbey Room
Stepping into the Abbey Room, one is immediately struck by the larger-than-life mural Quest and Achievement of the Holy Grail, by American artist Edwin Austin Abbey encompassing the room on the second floor of the McKim Building. The murals are composed of a series of 15 panels, featuring 150 life-sized figures illustrating the Arthurian legend. The room also features a beautiful fireplace of French Rouge antique marble, dark oak wainscoting, and a beamed ceiling modeled after one in the library of the Doge’s Palace in Venice. Beyond the stunning murals adorning the wall and the awe inspiring chandeliers, the Abbey Room is an unforgettable space to host an after-dark-event. Host up to 152 standing for an unforgettable cocktail reception, or 70 seated for dinner and dancing and you’ll easily impress guests as they dance or dine the night away immersed in the artwork and intrigue of the room.
