The Trustees of Reservations 125th Anniversary Gala took place at Appleton Farms in late May 2016. As guests exited a classic rail car which brought them from Boston to the farm, they were greeted by servers donned in classic black and white serving wine, beer, and sparkling water. As the night progressed and the Hors d’Oeuvre were passed with delight, The Catered Affair was ecstatic to highlight the rustic charms of the Applewood Farms with fresh farm to table cuisine like the preset first course of an Asparagus, Pickled Green Strawberries, Baby Beets, Rhubarb, Whipped Goat Cheese, Petite Herb Salad with Aged Sherry Vinaigrette. Dinner continued with main course and a fun dessert buffet with macarons, milky way tartlets, and mini jar pies. The event, planned by Anchor 18 came together for a truly beautiful night!
