Behind the Scenes with the Designer: Garden Party at Adolphus Busch Hall featured in Southern New England Weddings

The Catered Affair is excited to have been recently featured in Southern New England weddings for a staged tablescape at Adolphus Busch Hall in Cambridge MA. Titled” Gorgeous Garden Party”, the tablescape highlights not only the natural beauty of the courtyard at Adolphus Busch Hall, but the versatility of the Harvard Art Museums as a larger venue.

Bryanne Pepin, the lead designer for the Garden Soirée’s photoshoot says she was inspired by not only the “lush gardens” in the courtyard but the “punchy and vibrant” linen she discovered from Nuage Designs.

A fun and bright pattern of light teal and vibrant red, the linen really pulls together the entire look and design of the garden. Accented by several blue linen high top cocktail tables, rich florals from Artistic Blossoms, and a variety of stationary, chairs, and flatware from Lynn Graham Designs and Rentals Unlimited, the entire party is breathtaking.

Pepin hopes the design will inspire a variety of clients. “It would be a fun look for the fun bride who’s not afraid of color or a really vibrant rehearsal dinner.” Designed with the idea of a spring social or garden party in mind, the entire spread is bursting with potential for a variety of spring and summertime events—especially with the calming accent of the courtyards stone fountain.

Our tip for turning this soiree into an evening to remember? Great food pairings! “I’d build a menu with light springy foods like Gazpacho Soup Sips, Caprese Salad Bites with Black Olive Tapenade, a main course of Crispy Lemon Thyme Chicken with seasonal vegetables and a crispy potato cake, and finish the night with a Caramel Budino with Chocolate Crumbs.” says Pepin.
