The latest opening will expand The Catered Affair’s exclusive venue
collection at cultural institutions throughout Greater Boston
February 26, 2026 (Boston, Mass.) – The Catered Affair is excited to announce its newest exclusive catering and food and beverage partnership, this one with Boston Lyric Opera (BLO). Opening in March 2026, BLO’s Opera + Community Studios, a newly renovated and repurposed space in a renovated historic mill building at 15 Channel Center Street in Fort Point feature exposed brick, wood beams, elevated ceilings and accessible spaces that can accommodate 300 guests for a seated dinner or 500 guests for a standing reception in the largest studio, and 650 guests in the entire venue.
“Boston Lyric Opera has invested significant time and resources to repurpose an existing facility into one of the city’s most unique, inviting, and creative spaces,” said Bradley Vernatter, CEO and General Director. “We are excited for this partnership with The Catered Affair – it will bring new partners into our historically creative neighborhood and activate our stunningly renovated studios with new shared experiences in Boston.”
The reimagined urban loft comprises 16,000 square feet and is designed as a creative hub for BLO and a welcoming gathering space for the city’s cultural communities and special private functions.
