What’s New at the Winsor House Inn

The Winsor House Inn is a comforting restaurant and inn nestled in Snug Harbor on the South Shore. The Duxbury restaurant has been extensively renovated and rejuvenated by the Safford-Weilbrenner and Marconi family. The Winsor House Inn’s menu is infused with fresh farm to table fare and pub eats and has quickly regained its stature as a local favorite and become a destination restaurant.

An Update from the Owners:

This summer, the Winsor House Inn has been busy. From planning family friendly events like a Country Western Night to showcasing the summer menu on the Phantom Gourmet, we’ve enjoyed dining on our fresh summer garden produce and inviting the townspeople of Duxbury to savor the joys of summer dining with us. Our Country Western Night was a huge hit! We brought in over 80 people to dine on country classics like ribs, BBQ chicken, and corndogs and line dance while wearing their country best. We also invited families in for a classic outdoor movie night showing The Goonies and an End of Summer Bash celebrating summer 2015 with favorites like lobster rolls and chowder and enjoying tons of outdoor games geared to the kids.

As we enter Fall and look ahead to our next spring and summer seasons, we are looking forward to some exciting changes. We are very proud of Chef Franco’s new Fall menu, packed with local specialties and comfort food favorites with an upscale spin. Just as it did this summer, we look forward to our ever-growing vegetable garden enhancing the property and our guests’ dining experience as Chef Franco fully embraces the farm to table concept.  This Fall we are also looking forward to multiple live music nights featuring local favorites like The Waves, The Grab Brothers, and Despite Dwight. As the temperature drops, the fireplace grows with warmth. We look forward to enjoying a cold brew or a warm bite and enjoy our restaurant and tavern guests company.

We’re also excited that the Winsor House has many projects in the pipeline! We’re sprucing up the property (hint: next summer we’re expecting the garden to expand), renovating the cottage, and adding additional inn rooms. As an integral part of the Duxbury community, we have heard the laments that Duxbury needs more options for lodging and we hope to provide this for the town in the near future. For now, feel free to contact us for an enjoyable stay for out of town guests and family sure to come out for the holidays this season and stop by for dinner.
