Calderwood Courtyard

Entertain your guests in the historic heart of the Harvard Art Museums, Calderwood Courtyard. This gloriously restored space serves as the central point of circulation in the museums’ new home. This iconic space is modeled after the façade of the canon’s house of the 15th-century church of San Biagio, in Montepulciano, Italy. The dramatic, glass rooftop enables controlled natural light to illuminate the upper levels of the facility and filter into the courtyard below. The courtyard also offers guests’ interior views throughout the museums to the galleries, the Art Study Center, and the Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies.

With four levels of glass enclosed art and unobstructed views along the courtyard floor, entertaining in the center of Harvard Square has never been more appealing. After hours, the Courtyard is open to you and your guests creating the perfect truly private space. Paired with The Catered Affair’s gourmet menu, the Calderwood Courtyard is the perfect space for weddings, corporate events, cocktail receptions, and custom events in Cambridge.
